Gravity in a stabilized brane world model in five-dimensional Brans-Dicke theory
A. S. Mikhailov, Yu. S. Mikhailov, M. N. Smolyakov +1
Linearized equations of motion for gravitational and scalar fields are found and solved in a stabilized brane world model in five-dimensional Brans-Dicke theory. The physical degre…
Constructing stabilized brane world models in five-dimensional Brans-Dicke theory
Alexey S. Mikhailov, Yuri S. Mikhailov, Mikhail N. Smolyakov +1
We consider brane world models, which can be constructed in the five-dimensional Brans-Dicke theory with bulk scalar field potentials suggested by the supergravity theory. For diff…
Physical degrees of freedom in stabilized brane world models
Edward E. Boos, Yuri S. Mikhailov, Mikhail N. Smolyakov +1
We consider brane world models with interbrane separation stabilized by the Goldberger-Wise scalar field. For arbitrary background, or vacuum configurations of the gravitational an…
Energy scales in a stabilized brane world
Edward E. Boos, Yuri S. Mikhailov, Mikhail N. Smolyakov +1
Brane world gravity looks different for observers on positive and negative tension branes. First we consider the well-known RS1 model with two branes embedded into the AdS_5 space-…
