Euclid preparation: I. The Euclid Wide Survey
R. Scaramella, J. Amiaux, Y. Mellier +238
Euclid is an ESA mission designed to constrain the properties of dark energy and gravity via weak gravitational lensing and galaxy clustering. It will carry out a wide area imaging…
The PAU survey: Estimating galaxy photometry with deep learning
Laura Cabayol, Martin Eriksen, Adam Amara +14
With the dramatic rise in high-quality galaxy data expected from Euclid and Vera C. Rubin Observatory, there will be increasing demand for fast high-precision methods for measuring…
The PAU Survey: narrowband photometric redshifts using Gaussian processes
John Y. H. Soo, Benjamin Joachimi, Martin Eriksen +16
We study the performance of the hybrid template-machine-learning photometric redshift (photo-) algorithm Delight, which uses Gaussian processes, on a subset of the early data re…
First Cosmology Results Using Type Ia Supernovae From the Dark Energy Survey: Survey Overview and Supernova Spectroscopy
C. B. D'Andrea, M. Smith, M. Sullivan +108
We present spectroscopy from the first three seasons of the Dark Energy Survey Supernova Program (DES-SN). We describe the supernova spectroscopic program in full: strategy, observ…
