Viewing the Evolution of Massive Star Formation through FIR/Sub-mm/mm Eyes
Lihong Yao, E. R. Seaquist
In this paper, we present an overview of our method of constructing a family of models for the far-infrared, sub-millimeter, and millimeter (FIR/sub-mm/mm) line emission of molecul…
Starburst Models For FIR/sub-mm/mm Line Emission. I. An Expanding Supershell Surrounding A Massive Star Cluster
Lihong Yao, T. A. Bell, S. Viti +2
The effect of a newly born star cluster inside a giant molecular cloud (GMC) is to produce a hot bubble and a thin, dense shell of interstellar gas and dust swept up by the H II ex…
Revised masses of dust and gas of SLUGS FIR bright galaxies based on a recent CO survey
E. R. Seaquist, Lihong Yao, L. Dunne +1
Recent CO measurements of an essentially complete sub-sample of galaxies from the SCUBA Local Universe Survey (SLUGS) are used to examine their implications for dust and gas masses…
CO Molecular Gas in Infrared Luminous Galaxies
Lihong Yao, E. R. Seaquist, Nario Kuno +1
We present the first statistical survey of the properties of the 12CO(1-0) and 12CO(3-2) line emission from the nuclei of a nearly complete subsample of 60 infrared (IR) luminous g…
