Expanding the scope of dark siren cosmology: Inferring the population properties of gravitational wave-hosting galaxies
Rachel Gray, Daniel Williams, Alexander Papadopoulos
The field of gravitational wave "dark siren" cosmology is facing a number of challenges surrounding the way in which galaxy catalogue data is incorporated into the analysis. The th…
Scalable Dark Siren Cosmology with gwcosmo: GPU Acceleration, Validation and Systematics
Alexander Papadopoulos, Christian E. A. Chapman-Bird, Rachel Gray +2
As the number of confident gravitational-wave detections grows, population-level hierarchical analyses face increasing computational costs. Dark-siren cosmological inference integr…
Measurement of the Hubble constant using the Dark Energy Survey Year 6 Gold galaxy catalogue and the fourth Gravitational-Wave Transient Catalogue
Isaac McMahon, Danny Laghi, Marcelle Soares-Santos +9
Gravitational wave (GW) standard sirens enable independent measurements of the Hubble constant . In the absence of electromagnetic counterparts, the 'dark siren' method statis…
Heavy Black-Holes Also Matter in Standard Siren Cosmology
Grégoire Pierra, Alexander Papadopoulos
With the release of the Gravitational-Wave Transient Catalog GWTC-4.0 by the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA (LVK) collaboration, 218 candidate detections of gravitational waves (GWs) from compac…
