Laboratory constraints on peV-scale mass splitting between ordinary and sterile neutron states
N. J. Ayres, Z. Berezhiani, G. Bison +19
Sterile states of matter, represented by a parallel ``mirror'' sector, may contribute to the observed dark matter in the Universe. We investigated the parameter space of neutron $(…
Ultracold neutron energy spectrum and storage properties from magnetically induced spin depolarization
N. J. Ayres, G. Ban, G. Bison +53
We present a novel method for extracting the energy spectrum of ultracold neutrons from magnetically induced spin depolarization measurements using the n2EDM apparatus. This method…
Measurement of the permanent electric dipole moment of the neutron
C. Abel, S. Afach, N. J. Ayres +81
We present the result of an experiment to measure the electric dipole moment (EDM) of the neutron at the Paul Scherrer Institute using Ramsey's method of separated oscillating magn…
A Revised Experimental Upper Limit on the Electric Dipole Moment of the Neutron
J. M. Pendlebury, S. Afach, N. J. Ayres +47
We present for the first time a detailed and comprehensive analysis of the experimental results that set the current world sensitivity limit on the magnitude of the electric dipole…
