Quantum Versus Classical Advantages in Secret Key Distillation (and Their Links to Quantum Entanglement)
Eric Chitambar, Benjamin Fortescue, Min-Hsiu Hsieh
We consider the extraction of shared secret key from correlations that are generated by either a classical or quantum source. In the classical setting, two honest parties (Alice an…
Optimizing the Frequency of Quantum Error Correction using the [[7,1,3]] Steane Code
Ali Abu-Nada, Ben Fortescue, Mark Byrd
A common assumption in analyses of error thresholds and quantum computing in general is that one applies fault-tolerant quantum error correction (FTQEC) after every gate. This, how…
A Classical Analog to Entanglement Reversibility
Eric Chitambar, Ben Fortescue, Min-Hsiu Hsieh
In this letter we introduce the problem of secrecy reversibility. This asks when two honest parties can distill secret bits from some tripartite distribution and transfor…
Distributions Attaining Secret Key at a Rate of the Conditional Mutual Information
Eric Chitambar, Ben Fortescue, Min-Hsiu Hsieh
In this paper we consider the problem of extracting secret key from an eavesdropped source at a rate given by the conditional mutual information. We investigate this ques…
