A Mid-Infrared Study of the Class 0 Cluster in LDN 1448
J. C. O'Linger, D. M. Cole, M. E. Ressler +1
We present ground-based mid-infrared observations of Class 0 protostars in LDN 1448. Of the five known protostars in this cloud, we detected two, L1448N:A and L1448C, at 12.5, 17.9…
Sub-Arcsecond Mid-Infrared Observations of NGC 6240: Limitations of AGN-Starburst Power Diagnostics
E. Egami, G. Neugebauer, B. T. Soifer +3
In order to examine the relative importance of powerful starbursts and Compton-thick AGNs in NGC 6240, we have obtained mid-infrared images and low-resolution spectra of the galaxy…
A New Large-Well 1024x1024 Si:As Detector for the Mid-Infrare
A. K. Mainzer, J. Hong, M. Stapelbroek +7
We present a description of a new 1024x1024 Si:As array designed for ground-based use from 5 - 28 microns. With a maximum well depth of 5e6 electrons, this device brings large-form…
A Mid-Infrared Imaging Survey of Embedded Young Stellar Objects in the Rho Ophiuchi Cloud Core
Mary Barsony, Michael E. Ressler, Kenneth A. Marsh
Results of a comprehensive, new, ground-based mid-infrared imaging survey of the young stellar population of the Rho Ophiuchi cloud are presented. Data were acquired at the Palomar…
