Two sufficient conditions for Poisson approximations in the ferromagnetic Ising model
David Coupier
A -dimensional ferromagnetic Ising model on a lattice torus is considered. As the size of the lattice tends to infinity, two conditions ensuring a Poisson approximation for the…
Zero-one laws for binary random fields
David Coupier, Paul Doukhan, Bernard Ycart
A set of binary random variables indexed by a lattice torus is considered. Under a mixing hypothesis, the probability of any proposition belonging to the first order logic of color…
Poisson approximations for the Ising model
David Coupier
A -dimensional Ising model on a lattice torus is considered. As the size of the lattice tends to infinity, a Poisson approximation is given for the distribution of the numbe…
Image denoising by statistical area thresholding
David Coupier, Agnès Desolneux, Bernard Ycart
Area openings and closings are morphological filters which efficiently suppress impulse noise from an image, by removing small connected components of level sets. The problem of an…
A zero-one law for first-order logic on random images
David Coupier, Agnès Desolneux, Bernard Ycart
For an random image with independent pixels, black with probability and white with probability , the probability of satisfying any given first-order sent…
