The Infrared Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) for TMT: Instrument Overview
James E. Larkin, Anna M. Moore, Shelley A. Wright +14
IRIS is a near-infrared (0.84 to 2.4 microns) integral field spectrograph and wide-field imager being developed for first light with the Thirty Meter (TMT). It mounts to the advanc…
The InfraRed Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) for TMT: latest science cases and simulations
Shelley A. Wright, Gregory Walth, Tuan Do +36
The Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) first light instrument IRIS (Infrared Imaging Spectrograph) will complete its preliminary design phase in 2016. The IRIS instrument design includes…
Flowdown of the TMT astrometry error budget(s) to the IRIS design
Matthias Schoeck, David Andersen, John Rogers +9
TMT has defined the accuracy to be achieved for both absolute and differential astrometry in its top-level requirements documents. Because of the complexities of different types of…
The Infrared Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) for TMT: Data Reduction System
Gregory Walth, Shelley A. Wright, Jason Weiss +15
IRIS (InfraRed Imaging Spectrograph) is the diffraction-limited first light instrument for the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) that consists of a near-infrared (0.84 to 2.4 m) imag…
