A systematic survey for infrared star clusters with |b|<20deg using 2MASS
D. Froebrich, A. Scholz, C. L. Raftery
We used star density maps obtained from 2MASS to obtain a sample of star clusters in the entire Galactic Plane with |b|<20deg. A total of 1788 star cluster candidates are identifie…
Evolution of Class0 protostars: Models vs. Observations
D. Froebrich, S. Schmeja, M. D. Smith +1
The rates at which mass accumulates into protostellar cores can now be predicted in numerical simulations. Our purpose here is to develop methods to compare the statistical propert…
Effects of External Tidal Field on the Evolution of Multi-mass Star Clusters
Kang Hwan Lee, Hyung Mok Lee, Hwankyung Sung
We present N-body simulations of realistic globular clusters containing initial mass function in the galaxy to study effects of tidal field systematically on the properties of oute…
Sub-au imaging of water vapour clouds around four Asymptotic Giant Branch stars
I. Bains, R. J. Cohen, A. Louridas +4
We present MERLIN maps of the 22-GHz H2O masers around four low-mass late-type stars (IK Tau U Ori, RT Vir and U Her), made with an angular resolution of ~ 15 milliarcsec and a vel…
