Galaxy Evolution in Dense Environments: Properties of Interacting Galaxies in the A901/02 Supercluster
A. L. Heiderman, S. Jogee, D. J. Bacon +23
We present a study of galaxies in the STAGES survey of the Abell 901/902 supercluster at z~0.165, based on HST ACS F606W, COMBO-17, Spitzer 24um, XMM-Newton X-ray, and gravitationa…
COMBO-17 measurements of the effect of environment on the type-dependent galaxy luminosity function
S. Phleps, C. Wolf, J. A. Peacock +2
We have developed a method to calculate overdensities in multicolour surveys, facilitating a direct comparison of the local density contrast measured using galaxy samples that have…
A hole in the sky - The dependence of the galaxy luminosity function on the environment
S. Phleps, C. Wolf, J. A. Peacock +2
We have developed a method to calculate overdensities in multicolour surveys, and compare the local density contrast measured in galaxy samples with different redshift error distri…
The SCUBA HAlf Degree Extragalactic Survey (SHADES) -- I. Survey motivation, design and data processing
A. M. J. Mortier, S. Serjeant, J. S. Dunlop +2
The SCUBA HAlf Degree Extragalactic Survey (SHADES) is a major blank-field extragalactic sub-mm survey underway at the James Clerk Maxwell telescope.SHADES aims to cover half a squ…
