Predicting the frequencies of diverse exo-planetary systems
J. S. Greaves, D. A. Fischer, M. C. Wyatt +2
Extrasolar planetary systems range from hot Jupiters out to icy comet belts more distant than Pluto. We explain this diversity in a model where the mass of solids in the primordial…
Excitation of Orbital Eccentricities of Extrasolar Planets by Repeated Resonance Crossings
E. I. Chiang, D. Fischer, E. Thommes
Orbits of known extrasolar planets that are located outside the tidal circularization regions of their parent stars are often substantially eccentric. By contrast, planetary orbits…
The Very Low Mass Component of the Gliese 105 System
David A. Golimowski, Todd J. Henry, John E. Krist +4
Multiple-epoch, multicolor images of the astrometric binary Gliese 105A and its very low mass companion Gliese 105C have been obtained using the Hubble Space Telescope's Wide Field…
Planetary Companions Around Two Solar Type Stars: HD 195019 and HD 217107
D. A. Fischer, G. W. Marcy, R. P. Butler +2
We have enlarged the sample of stars in the planet search at Lick Observatory. Doppler measurements of 82 new stars observed at Lick Observatory, with additional velocities from Ke…
