Hydrodynamical chemistry simulations of the SZ effect and the impacts from primordial non-Gaussianities
Francesco Pace, Umberto Maio
The impacts of Compton scattering of hot cosmic gas with the cosmic microwave background radiation (Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect, SZ) are consistently quantified in Gaussian and non-G…
Statistical properties of mass, star formation, chemical content and rotational patterns in early z > 9 structures
Veronica Biffi, Umberto Maio
We study the baryonic, chemical and dynamical properties of a significantly large sample of early proto-galaxies in the first 500 Myr of the Universe (redshift z>9), obtained from…
Robust PCA and MIC statistics of baryons in early mini-haloes
R. S. de Souza, U. Maio, V. Biffi +1
We present a novel approach, based on robust principal components analysis (RPCA) and maximal information coefficient (MIC), to study the redshift dependence of halo baryonic prope…
Simulating extremely metal-poor gas and DLA metal content at redshift z=7
Umberto Maio, Benedetta Ciardi, Volker Mueller
We present the first theoretical study of metals in damped Ly-alpha (DLA) systems at redshift z=7. The features of cold, primordial gas are studied by means of N-body, hydro, chemi…
