Star Formation in Distant Red Galaxies: Spitzer observations in the Hubble Deep Field South
Tracy Webb, Pieter van Dokkum, Eiichi Egami +12
We present Spitzer 24micron imaging of 1.5 < z < 2.5 Distant Red Galaxies (DRGs) in the 10arcmin by 10arcmin Extended Hubble Deep Field South of the Multiwavelength Survey by Yale-…
Submillimeter observations of Distant Red Galaxies: uncovering the 1mJy 850um-population
K. K. Knudsen, P. van der Werf, M. Franx +7
We present a study of the submillimeter (submm) emission of Distant Red Galaxies (DRGs). The DRGs are selected by the criterion (J-K)>2.3, and are generally massive galaxies at red…
IRAC Mid-Infrared Imaging of the Hubble Deep Field South: Star Formation Histories and Stellar Masses of Red Galaxies at z>2
I. Labbe, J. Huang, M. Franx +12
We present deep 3.6 - 8 micron imaging of the Hubble Deep Field South with IRAC on the Spitzer Space Telescope. We study Distant Red Galaxies (DRGs) at z>2 selected by Js - Ks > 2.…
The size evolution of galaxies since z~3: combining SDSS, GEMS and FIRES
Ignacio Trujillo, Natascha M. Forster Schreiber, Gregory Rudnick +15
We present the evolution of the luminosity-size and stellar mass-size relations of luminous (L_V>3.4x10^10h_70^-2L_sun) and of massive (M_*>3x10^10h_70^-2M_sun) galaxies in the las…
