Cosmic ray tests of a GEM-based TPC prototype operated in Ar-CF4-isobutane gas mixtures: II
M. Kobayashi, R. Yonamine, T. Tomioka +19
The spatial resolution along the pad-row direction was measured with a GEM-based TPC prototype for the future linear collider experiment in order to understand its performance for…
Cosmic ray tests of a GEM-based TPC prototype operated in Ar-CF4-isobutane gas mixtures
M. Kobayashi, R. Yonamine, T. Tomioka +19
Argon with an admixture of CF4 is expected to be a good candidate for the gas mixture to be used for a time projection chamber (TPC) in the future linear collider experiment becaus…
Cosmic Ray Tests of the Prototype TPC for the ILC Experiment
K. Ackermann, S. Arai, D. C. Arogancia +47
A time projection chamber (TPC) is a strong candidate for the central tracker of the international linear collider (ILC) experiment and we have been conducting a series of cosmic r…
A GEM TPC End-Panel Pre-Prototype
A. Ishikawa, A. Aoza, T. Higashi +24
A GEM TPC end panel pre-prototype was constructed for a large LC-TPC prototype to test its basic design philosophy and some of its engineering details. Its interim test results are…
