MORFEO: Advancing Towards Final Design
Lorenzo Busoni, Guido Agapito, Marco Bonaglia +106
The Multiconjugate adaptive Optics Relay For ELT Observations (MORFEO) is a first-generation adaptive optics module for the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT), designed to deliver a d…
The MICADO first light imager for the ELT: the SCAO module AIT in France, from the beta flat configuration towards the flat and final configurations
Yann Clénet, Vincent Lapeyrère, Eric Gendron +45
MICADO is the designated ELT first light instrument, a near-infrared imager working at the diffraction limit of the telescope thanks to a SCAO and an MCAO mode. Since summer 2024,…
The MICADO first-light imager for the ELT: first steps of the SCAO system MAIT
Yann Clénet, Eric Gendron, Fabrice Vidal +39
MICADO is the ELT first light instrument, an imager working at the diffraction limit of the telescope thanks to two adaptive optics (AO) modes: a single conjugate one (SCAO), avail…
Thermal Noise Reduction in Ternary Optical Coatings: From Ti::GeO-Based Ternary Systems to High Index Materials
Vincenzo Pierro, Guerino Avallone, Jessica Steinlechner +11
Minimizing coating thermal noise is crucial for enhancing gravitational wave detector sensitivity, with a target Amplitude Spectral Density Reduction Factor (ASD RF) of relat…
