Thermodynamics of Large AdS Black Holes
Samuli Hemming, Larus Thorlacius
We consider leading order quantum corrections to the geometry of large AdS black holes in a spherical reduction of four-dimensional Einstein gravity with negative cosmological cons…
Coulomb-gas formulation of SU(2) branes and chiral blocks
Samuli Hemming, Shinsuke Kawai, Esko Keski-Vakkuri
We construct boundary states in WZNW models using the bosonized Wakimoto free-field representation and study their properties. We introduce a Fock space representation of…
On Free Field Realizations of Strings in BTZ
Samuli Hemming
We discuss realizations of the SL(2,R) current algebra in the hyperbolic basis using free scalar fields. It has been previously shown by Satoh how such a realization can be used to…
Strings in the Extended BTZ Spacetime
Samuli Hemming, Esko Keski-Vakkuri, Per Kraus
We study string theory on the extended spacetime of the BTZ black hole, as described by an orbifold of the SL(2,R) WZW model. The full spacetime has an infinite number of disconnec…
The spectrum of strings on BTZ black holes and spectral flow in the SL(2,R) WZW model
Samuli Hemming, Esko Keski-Vakkuri
We study the spectrum of bosonic string theory on rotating BTZ black holes, using a SL(2,R) WZW model. Previously, Natsuume and Satoh have analyzed strings on BTZ black holes using…
