The Luminosity Functions of the Galaxy Cluster MS1054-0321 at z=0.83 based on ACS Photometry
Tomotsugu Goto, Marc Postman, Nicholas J. G. Cross +41
We present new measurements of the galaxy luminosity function (LF) and its dependence on local galaxy density, color, morphology, and clustocentric radius for the massive z=0.83 cl…
The Transformation of Cluster Galaxies at Intermeidate Redshift
N. L. Homeier, R. Demarco, P. Rosati +17
We combine imaging data from the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) with VLT/FORS optical spectroscopy to study the properties of star-forming galaxies in the z=0.837 cluster CL0152…
Strong Lensing Analysis of A1689 from Deep Advanced Camera Images
Tom Broadhurst, Narciso Benitez, Dan Coe +6
We analyse deep multi-colour Advanced Camera images of the largest known gravitational lens, A1689. Radial and tangential arcs delineate the critical curves in unprecedented detail…
Ultra Compact Dwarf galaxies in Abell 1689: a photometric study with the ACS
S. Mieske, L. Infante, N. Benitez +37
The properties of Ultra Compact Dwarf (UCD) galaxy candidates in Abell 1689 (z=0.183) are investigated, based on deep high resolution ACS images. A UCD candidate has to be unresolv…
