Synthetic Diagnostic Modeling for Plasma Tomography: Geometry Matrix Computation Methods and Impact of Model Accuracy
D. Hamm, G. Partesotti, C. Theiler +1
Tomographic emissivity reconstruction from plasma diagnostics data relies on a synthetic model mapping the plasma emissivity to the measured signals. The model, referred to as a ge…
SPLEND1D, a reduced one-dimensional model to investigate the physics of plasma detachment
O. Février, S. Gorno, C. Theiler +3
Studying the process of divertor detachment and the associated complex interplay of plasma dynamics and atomic physics processes is of utmost importance for future fusion reactors.…
SOLPS-ITER simulation of an X-point radiator in TCV
G. Sun, O. Pan, M. Bernert +7
SOLPS-ITER simulation is performed to reproduce the X-point radiator recently observed in nitrogen-seeded TCV experiments, which is a scenario that may be favorable to solve the po…
Validation of SOLPS-ITER Simulations against the TCV-X21 Reference Case
Y. Wang, C. Colandrea, D. S. Oliveira +7
This paper presents a quantitative validation of SOLPS-ITER simulations against the TCV-X21 reference case and provides insights into the neutral dynamics and ionization source dis…
