The performance of the blue prime focus Large Binocular Camera at the Large Binocular Telescope
E. Giallongo, R. Ragazzoni, A. Grazian +23
We present the characteristics and some early scientific results of the first instrument at the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT), the Large Binocular Camera (LBC). Each LBT telescop…
Disk and wind interaction in the young stellar object MWC 297 spatially resolved with VLTI/AMBER
F. Malbet, M. Benisty, W. J. De Wit +15
The young stellar object MWC 297 has been observed with the VLT interferometer equipped with the AMBER instrument. MWC 297 has been spatially resolved in the continuum with a visib…
First AMBER/VLTI observations of hot massive stars
R. G. Petrov, F. Millour, O. Chesneau +45
AMBER is the first near infrared focal instrument of the VLTI. It combines three telescopes and produces spectrally resolved interferometric measures. This paper discusses some pre…
High Resolution Images of Orbital Motion in the Trapezium Cluster: First Scientific Results from the MMT Deformable Secondary Mirror Adaptive Optics System
Laird M. Close, Francois Wildi, Michael Lloyd-Hart +16
We present the first scientific images obtained with a deformable secondary mirror adaptive optics system. We utilized the 6.5m MMT AO system to produce high-resolution (FWHM=0.07'…
