The early and late-time spectral and temporal evolution of GRB 050716
E. Rol, J. P. Osborne, K. L. Page +13
We report on a comprehensive set of observations of Gamma Ray Burst 050716, detected by the Swift satellite and subsequently followed-up rapidly in X-ray, optical and near infra-re…
The Remarkable Afterglow of GRB 061007: Implications for Optical Flashes and GRB Fireballs
C. G. Mundell, A. Melandri, C. Guidorzi +18
We present a multiwavelength analysis of Swift GRB 061007. The 2-m robotic Faulkes Telescope South (FTS) began observing 137 s after the onset of the gamma-ray emission, when the o…
Anatomy of A Dark Burst - The Afterglow of GRB 060108
S. R. Oates, C. G. Mundell, S. Piranomonte +20
We report the first detection of an optical afterglow of a GRB (060108) that would have been classified as 'dark' in the absence of deep, rapid ground-based optical imaging with th…
The nature of the close magnetic white dwarf + probable brown dwarf binary SDSS J121209.31+013627.7
M. R. Burleigh, T. R. Marsh, B. T. Gansicke +16
Optical time series photometry of the short period magnetic white dwarf + probable brown dwarf binary SDSS 121209.31+013627.7 reveals pulse-like variability in all bands from i' to…
