Long term performance of the SwissQuantum quantum key distribution network in a field environment
D. Stucki, M. Legre, F. Buntschu +20
In this paper, we report on the performance of the SwissQuantum quantum key distribution (QKD) network. The network was installed in the Geneva metropolitan area and run for more t…
Free-running InGaAs/InP Avalanche Photodiode with Active Quenching for Single Photon Counting at Telecom Wavelengths
R. T. Thew, D. Stucki, J-D. Gautier +2
We present an InGaAs/InP avalanche photodiode with an active quenching circuit on an ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) that is capable of operating in both gated and f…
SiPM used as fast Photon-Counting Module and for Multiphoton Detection
P. Eraerds, M. Legre, A. Rochas +2
We demonstrate fast counting and multiphoton detection abilities of a Silicon Photo Multiplier (SiPM). In fast counting mode we are able to detect two consecutive photons separated…
GHz QKD at telecom wavelengths using up-conversion detectors
R. T. Thew, S. Tanzilli, L. Krainer +6
We have developed a hybrid single photon detection scheme for telecom wavelengths based on nonlinear sum-frequency generation and silicon single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs). Th…
