Distances Between von Neumann Subalgebras: Spin Models, Commuting Squares, and Free Group Factors
Indrajit Ghosh, Sumit Kumar
We investigate the relative position of von Neumann subalgebras through the Mashood--Taylor () and Kadison--Kastler () distances…
Regularity for Subfactors
Keshab Chandra Bakshi, Indrajit Ghosh
We study three naturally associated notions of regularity for a unital inclusion of von Neumann algebras : regularity, groupoid regularity, and u…
A Complete Characterization of Cartan Inclusions of Finite Dimensional -algebras
Indrajit Ghosh, Sumit Kumar
We give a complete characterization of Cartan inclusions of finite dimensional -algebras in terms of their inclusion matrices. More precisely, for a unital inclusion $\mathcal…
A Complete Characterization of Regular Inclusions of Finite Dimensional -algebras
Keshab Chandra Bakshi, Indrajit Ghosh, Sumit Kumar
We give a complete characterization of regular (in the sense of Kumjian and Renault) unital inclusions of finite-dimensional -algebras. For subalgebras $\bigoplus_j( \mathbb{M…
Algebraic aspects and functoriality of the set of affiliated operators
Indrajit Ghosh, Soumyashant Nayak
In this article, we aim to provide a satisfactory algebraic description of the set of affiliated operators for von Neumann algebras. Let be a von Neumann algebra acti…
