Gas in Globular Clusters I: Gas Retention and Its Possible Consequences
Alexey Bobrick, Melvyn B. Davies, Hagai B. Perets
Globular clusters host complex stellar populations whose chemical signatures suggest early (3 Myr - 1 Gyr) retention and reprocessing of stellar ejecta, yet direct evidence for int…
Insights into spatial mixing of multiple populations in dynamically-young globular clusters
Václav Pavlík, Melvyn B. Davies, Ellen I. Leitinger +5
Many galactic globular clusters (GCs) contain at least two stellar populations. Recent observational studies found that the radial distributions of the first (P1) and second popula…
Spatial mixing of stellar populations in globular clusters via binary-single star scattering
Václav Pavlík, Melvyn B. Davies, Ellen I. Leitinger +5
The majority of Galactic globular star clusters (GCs) have been reported to contain at least two populations of stars (we use P1 for the primordial and P2 for the chemically-enrich…
The structure of star clusters in the outer halo of M31
N. R. Tanvir, A. D. Mackey, A. M. N. Ferguson +11
We present a structural analysis of halo star clusters in M31 based on deep Hubble Space Telescope (HST) Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) imaging. The clusters in our sample span…
