Attaining Fundamental Limits of Multiparameter Incoherent Optical Imaging Using Joint-Detection Quantum Measurements
Nico Deshler, Aakash Warke, Michael R. Grace +2
Resolving extended incoherent objects below the diffraction limit poses an application-rich imaging challenge whose solution may enable a new generation of observational instrument…
Towards Quantum Limited Spatial Resolution of NV-Diamond Magnetometry
Nico Deshler, Declan Daly, Ayan Majumder +2
Optically addressable ensembles of solid-state defects, such as nitrogen vacancy (NV) centers, are a leading modality for imaging-based magnetometry, thermometry and strain sensing…
Imaging-based Quantum Optomechanics
Christian M. Pluchar, Wenhua He, Jack Manley +3
In active imaging protocols, information about an object is encoded into the spatial mode of a scattered photon. Recently the quantum limits of active imaging have been explored wi…
Quantum Limits of Exoplanet Detection and Localization
Nico Deshler, Sebastiaan Haffert, Amit Ashok
Discovering exoplanets in orbit around distant stars via direct imaging is fundamentally impeded by the combined effect of optical diffraction and photon shot noise under extreme s…
