Principal component analysis tomography in near-infrared integral field spectroscopy of young stellar objects. I. Revisiting the high-mass protostar W33A
Felipe Navarete, Augusto Damineli, João E. Steiner +1
W33A is a well-known example of a high-mass young stellar object showing evidence of a circumstellar disc. We revisited the -band NIFS/Gemini North observations of the W33A prot…
Extinction law in the range 0.4-4.8 m and the 8620 DIB towards the stellar cluster Westerlund 1
Augusto Damineli, Leonardo A. Almeida, Robert D. Blum +4
The young stellar cluster Westerlund 1 (Wd 1: =339.6, b=0.4) is one of the most massive in the local Universe, but accurate parameters are pending on better d…
Spectrophotometric Distances to Galactic H\,{\sc{ii}} Regions
A. P. Moisés, A. Damineli, E. Figuerêdo +3
We present a near infrared study of the stellar content of 35 H\,{\sc{ii}} regions in the Galactic plane. In this work, we have used the near infrared domain , and $K_{s}-…
Mid-Infrared diagnostics of metal-rich HII regions from VLT and Spitzer Spectroscopy of Young Massive Stars in W31
JP Furness, PA Crowther, PW Morris +4
We present near-IR VLT/ISAAC and mid-IR Spitzer/IRS spectroscopy of the young massive cluster in the W31 star-forming region. H-band spectroscopy provides refined classifications f…
