2D Spectroscopy of Candidate Polar-Ring Galaxies: I. The Pair of Galaxies UGC 5600/09
L. V. Shalyapina, O. A. Merkulova, V. A. Yakovleva +1
Observations of the pair of galaxies VV 330 with the SCORPIO multimode instrument on the 6-m Special Astrophysical Observatory telescope are presented. Large-scale velocity fields…
The Stellar Content of the Polar Rings in the Galaxies NGC 2685 and NGC 4650A
G. M. Karataeva, I. O. Drozdovsky, V. A. Hagen-Thorn +3
We present the results of stellar photometry of polar-ring galaxies NGC 2685 and NGC 4650A, using the archival data obtained with the Hubble Space Telescope's Wide Field Planetary…
The phenomenon of the galaxy NGC 6286: a forming polar ring or a superwind?
L. V. Shalyapina, A. V. Moiseev, V. A. Yakovleva +2
(abridged)We present the observations of the pair of interacting galaxies NGC6285/86 carried out with the 6m SAO RAS telescope by using 1D and 2D spectroscopy. The observations of…
A Spectroscopic Study of the Peculiar Galaxy UGC 5600
L. V. Shalyapina, A. V. Moiseev, V. A. Yakovleva
We present our observations of the galaxy UGS 5600 with a long-slit spectrograph (UAGS) and a multi-pupil field spectrograph (MPFS) using the 6-m telescope at Special Astrophysical…
