Intensity oscillations observed with Hinode near the south pole of the Sun: leakage of low frequency magneto-acoustic waves into the solar corona
A. K. Srivastava, D. Kuridze, T. V. Zaqarashvili +1
Aims. To study intensity oscillations in the solar chromosphere/corona above a quiet-Sun magnetic network. Methods. We analyse the time series of He II 256.32, Fe XI 188.23 and Fe…
Acoustic oscillations in a field-free cavity under solar small-scale bipolar magnetic canopy
D. Kuridze, T. V. Zaqarashvili, B. M. Shergelashvili1 +1
Observations show the increase of high-frequency wave power near magnetic network cores and active regions in the solar lower atmosphere. This phenomenon can be explained by the in…
Resonant energy conversion of 3-minute intensity oscillations into Alfven waves in the solar atmosphere
D. Kuridze, T. V. Zaqarashvili
Nonlinear coupling between 3-minute oscillations and Alfven waves in the solar lower atmosphere is studied. 3-minute oscillations are considered as acoustic waves trapped in a chro…
Resonant conversion of standing acoustic oscillations into Alfv{é}n waves in the region of the solar atmosphere
D. Kuridze, T. V. Zaqarashvili, B. Roberts
We show that 5-minute acoustic oscillations may resonantly convert into Alfv{é}n waves in the region of the solar atmosphere. Considering the 5-minute oscillations as pu…
