The in-flight spectroscopic performance of the Swift XRT CCD camera during 2006-2007
O. Godet, A. P. Beardmore, A. F. Abbey +26
The Swift X-ray Telescope focal plane camera is a front-illuminated MOS CCD, providing a spectral response kernel of 135 eV FWHM at 5.9 keV as measured before launch. We describe t…
Evidence of Exponential Decay Emission in the Swift Gamma-ray Bursts
T. Sakamoto, J. E. Hill, R. Yamazaki +6
We present a systematic study of the steep decay emission from gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) observed by the Swift X-Ray Telescope (XRT). In contrast to the analysis described in recent…
The exceptionally extended flaring activity in the X-ray afterglow of GRB 050730 observed with Swift and XMM-Newton
M. Perri, D. Guetta, L. A. Antonelli +27
We present the results of a detailed spectral and temporal analysis of Swift and XMM-Newton observations of the high redshift (z=3.969) GRB 050730. The X-ray afterglow of GRB 05073…
GRB 050822: Detailed analysis of an XRF observed by Swift
O. Godet, K. L. Page, J. Osborne +10
We report on the temporal and spectral characteristics of the early X-ray emission from the GRB 050822 as observed by Swift. This burst is likely to be an XRF showing major X-ray f…
