Simulations of Galactic Cosmic Ray Impacts on the Herschel/PACS bolometer Arrays with Geant4 Code
C. Bongardo, P. M. Andreani, K. Okumura +5
The effects of the in-flight behaviour of the bolometer arrays of the Herschel/PACS instrument under impacts of Galactic cosmic rays are explored. This instrument is part of the ES…
The Herschel/PACS 2560 bolometers imaging camera
Nicolas Billot, Patrick Agnese, Jean-Louis Augueres +16
The development program of the flight model imaging camera for the PACS instrument on-board the Herschel spacecraft is nearing completion. This camera has two channels covering the…
A study on the use of the PACS bolometer arrays for submillimeter ground-based telescopes
Vincent Reveret, Louis R. Rodriguez, Philippe Andre +3
A new kind of bolometric architecture has been successfully developed for the PACS photometer onboard the Herschel submillimeter observatory. These new generation CCD-like arrays a…
ISGRI: the INTEGRAL Soft Gamma-Ray Imager
F. Lebrun, J. -P. Leray, P. Lavocat +21
For the first time in the history of high energy astronomy, a large CdTe gamma-ray camera is operating in space. ISGRI is the low-energy camera of the IBIS telescope on board the I…
