A Precise Estimate of the Radius of HD 149026b
Philip Nutzman, David Charbonneau, Joshua N. Winn +4
We present Spitzer 8 micron transit observations of the extrasolar planet system HD 149026. At this wavelength, transit light curves are weakly affected by stellar limb-darkening,…
The MEarth project: searching for transiting habitable super-Earths around nearby M-dwarfs
Jonathan Irwin, David Charbonneau, Philip Nutzman +1
Due to their small radii, M-dwarfs are very promising targets to search for transiting super-Earths, with a planet of 2 Earth radii orbiting an M5 dwarf in the habitable zone givin…
A Precise Estimate of the Radius of the Exoplanet HD 149026b from Spitzer Photometry
Philip Nutzman, David Charbonneau, Joshua N. Winn +4
We present Spitzer 8 micron transit observations of the extrasolar planet HD 149026b. At this wavelength, transit light curves are weakly affected by stellar limb-darkening, allowi…
Parameters and Predictions for the Long-Period Transiting Planet HD 17156b
Jonathan Irwin, David Charbonneau, Philip Nutzman +8
We report high-cadence time-series photometry of the recently-discovered transiting exoplanet system HD 17156, spanning the time of transit on UT 2007 October 1, from three separat…
