S. I. Loubser, A. E. Sansom, P. Sanchez-Blazquez +2
This is the first of a series of papers devoted to the investigation of a large sample of brightest cluster galaxies (BCGs), their kinematic and stellar population properties, and…
The XMM-Newton Serendipitous Survey V. Optical identification of the XMM-Newton Medium sensitivity Survey (XMS)
X. Barcons, F. J. Carrera, M. T. Ceballos +53
We present the XMM-Newton Medium sensitivity Survey (XMS), including a total of 318 X-ray sources found among the serendipitous content of 25 XMM-Newton target fields. The XMS comp…
Observations of the pulsating subdwarf B star Feige 48: Constraints on evolution and companions
M. D. Reed, S. D. Kawaler
Since pulsating subdwarf B (sdBV or EC14026) stars were first discovered (Kilkenny et al, 1997), observational efforts have tried to realize their potential for constraining the in…
The XMM-Newton Serendipitous Survey I. The role of XMM-Newton Survey Science Centre
M. G. Watson
This paper describes the performance of XMM-Newton for serendipitous surveys and summarises the scope and potential of the XMM-Newton Serendipitous Survey. The role of the Survey S…
