Scattering from Dusty Outflows in Hot Dust-Obscured Galaxies with Blue Excess Emission
R. J. Assef, M. Stalevski, F. E. Bauer +15
(Context) Hot Dust-Obscured Galaxies (Hot DOGs) are a population of hyper-luminous quasars heavily obscured by dust and gas. While most have rest UV/optical SEDs dominated by their…
XRISM Resolves the Circum-nuclear Environment of NGC 4945
Peter G. Boorman, Poshak Gandhi, Yoshihiro Ueda +31
Compton-thick Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) represent one of the most elusive phases of massive black hole growth, yet are expected to contribute substantially to the Cosmic X-ray B…
VENUS: an ultra-faint galaxy hosting the metal-poor type II supernova at Witnessing the initial metal enrichment with extremely frequent core-collapse supernovae?
Yoshihisa Asada, Seiji Fujimoto, Joseph F. V. Allingham +50
We present the first characterization of the host galaxy of a recently discovered type IIP SN at (SN Eos). SN Eos and its host galaxy are gravitationally lensed and multip…
The X-ray properties of the most luminous quasars with strong emission-line outflows
Anastasia Shlentsova, Bartolomeo Trefoloni, Matilde Signorini +7
Strong outflows from active galactic nuclei are frequently observed in objects with lower coronal X-ray luminosity. This intrinsic X-ray weakness is considered a requirement for th…
