The ROSAT All-Sky Survey: a Catalog of Clusters of Galaxies in a Region of 1 Ster around the South Galactic Pole
R. Cruddace, W. Voges, H. Boehringer +7
A field of 1.013 ster in the ROSAT all-sky survey (RASS), centered on the south galactic pole (SGP), has been searched in a systematic, objective manner for clusters of galaxies. T…
A Systematic Study of X-Ray Substructure of Galaxy Clusters Detected in the ROSAT All-Sky Survey
P. Schuecker, H. Boehringer, T. H. Reiprich +1
Results of a systematic study of substructure in X-ray surface brightness distributions of a combined sample of 470 REFLEX+BCS clusters of galaxies are presented. The fully automiz…
The REFLEX Cluster Survey: Observing Strategy and First Results on Large-Scale Structure
L. Guzzo, H. Boehringer, P. Schuecker +9
We give a general description of the optical observing strategy of the ROSAT-ESO Flux-Limited X-ray (REFLEX) cluster survey. This presently includes 460 clusters of galaxies select…
A Flux-limited Sample of Bright Clusters of Galaxies from the Southern Part of the ROSAT All-Sky Survey: the Catalog and the LogN-LogS
S. De Grandi, H. Böhringer, L. Guzzo +8
We describe the selection of an X-ray flux-limited sample of bright clusters of galaxies in the southern hemisphere, based on the first analysis of the ROSAT All-Sky Survey data (R…
