XMM-Newton study of the two-dimensional structure of the REFLEX-DXL galaxy clusters
A. Finoguenov, H. Boehringer, Y. Zhang
We carry out a two-dimensional study of temperature, entropy and pressure distributions in a nearly volume-limited subsample of REFLEX clusters at redshift 0.3, the REFLEX-DXL. We…
Metal Abundances in the ICM as a Diagnostics of the Cluster History
H. Böhringer, K. Matsushita, A. Finoguenov +2
Galaxy clusters with a dense cooling core exhibit a central increase in the metallicity of the intracluster medium. Recent XMM-Newton studies with detailed results on the relative…
RASS-SDSS Galaxy Cluster Survey. IV. A ubiquitous dwarf galaxy population in clusters
P. Popesso, A. Biviano, H. Böhringer +1
We analyze the Luminosity Functions (LFs) of a subsample of 69 clusters from the RASS-SDSS galaxy cluster catalog. When calculated within the cluster physical sizes, given by r200…
Cluster scaling and its redshift evolution from XMM-Newton
A. Finoguenov, H. Boehringer, J. P. F. Osmond +4
We put together the results of XMM-Newton observations of a number of representative group and cluster samples at low and high redshifts. These results confirm the entropy ramp as…
