Velocity field of an Active Region filament from GRIS IR He I and IRIS UV observations
M. Murabito, V. Andretta, S. Parenti +4
Plasma flow measurements in solar active region filaments are rare, particularly in the infrared and ultraviolet ranges that probe the chromosphere and transition region. In additi…
Observations of the formation of a proto-spot in a pre-existing field environment
Mariarita Murabito, Ilaria Ermolli, Salvo L. Guglielmino +2
Bipolar emerging flux regions (EFRs) form active regions (ARs) that generally evolve in a pre-existing magnetic environment in the solar atmosphere. Reconfiguration of the small- a…
Metis Observations of Alfvénic Outflows Driven by Interchange Reconnection in a Pseudostreamer
P. Romano, P. Wyper, V. Andretta +33
This study presents observations of a large pseudostreamer solar eruption and, in particular, the post-eruption relaxation phase, as captured by Metis onboard the Solar Orbiter on…
Emergence of magnetic flux sheets in the quiet Sun. I. Statistical properties
S. M. Díaz-Castillo, C. E. Fischer, F. Moreno-Insertis +3
Small-scale magnetic flux emergence in the quiet Sun is crucial for maintaining solar magnetic activity. On the smallest scales studied so far, namely within individual granules, t…
