The continuous period search method and its application to the young solar analogue HD 116956
J. Lehtinen, L. Jetsu, T. Hackman +2
We formulate an improved time series analysis method for the analysis of photometry of active stars. This new Continuous Period Search (CPS) method is applied to 12 years of V band…
Doppler images of the RS CVn binary II Pegasi during the years 1994-2002
Lindborg, M., Korpi +8
We publish 16 Doppler imaging temperature maps for the years 1994-2002 of the active RS CVn star II Peg. The six maps from 1999-2002 are based on previously unpublished observation…
Dynamical evolution of titanium, strontium, and yttrium spots on the surface of the HgMn star HD 11753
M. Briquet, H. Korhonen, J. F. Gonzalez +2
Aims. We gathered about 100 high-resolution spectra of three typical HgMn (mercury-manganese) stars, HD 11753, HD 53244, and HD 221507, to search for slowly pulsating B-like pulsat…
Ellipsoidal primary of the RS CVn binary zeta And: Investigation using high-resolution spectroscopy and optical interferometry
H. Korhonen, M. Wittkowski, Zs. Kovari +3
We have obtained high-resolution spectroscopy, optical interferometry, and long-term broad band photometry of the ellipsoidal primary of the RS CVn-type binary system zeta And. Bas…
