Interaction of an interfacial crack with linear micro-defects under out-of-plane shear loading
Gennady Mishuris, Alexander Movchan, Natasha Movchan +1
The interaction of an interfacial crack with small impurities is analysed on the basis of an asymptotic formula derived by the authors. The interaction between the main crack and t…
Green's kernels for transmission problems in bodies with small inclusions
Vladimir Maz'ya, Alexander Movchan, Michael Nieves
The uniform asymptotic approximation of Green's kernel for the transmission problem of antiplane shear is obtained for domains with small inclusions. The remainder estimates are pr…
Mesoscale asymptotic approximations to solutions of mixed boundary value problems in perforated domains
Vladimir Maz'ya, Alexander Movchan, Michael Nieves
We describe a method of asymptotic approximations to solutions of mixed boundary value problems for the Laplacian in a three-dimensional domain with many perforations of arbitrary…
Perturbation of Mode III interfacial cracks
A. Piccolroaz, G. Mishuris, A. B. Movchan
We consider the perturbation problem of a Mode III interfacial crack. The perturbation is of geometrical type and can be both perturbation of the crack faces and perturbation of th…
