Recent Results from Polycrystalline CVD Diamond Detectors
RD42 Collaboration, L. Bäni, A. Alexopoulos +109
Diamond is a material in use at many nuclear and high energy facilities due to its inherent radiation tolerance and ease of use. We have characterized detectors based on chemical v…
Optical Link ASICs for the LHC Upgrade
K. K. Gan, H. P. Kagan, R. D. Kass +2
We have designed three ASICs for possible applications in the optical links of a new layer of pixel detector in the ATLAS experiment for the first phase of the LHC luminosity upgra…
Study of the Radiation Hardness of Vcsel and Pin Arrays
K. K. Gan
The silicon trackers of the ATLAS experiment at LHC (CERN) use optical links for data transmission. VCSEL arrays operating at 850 nm are used to transmit optical signals while PIN…
Radiation-Hard Optical Link for SLHC
K. K. Gan
We study the feasibility of fabricating an optical link for the SLHC ATLAS silicon tracker based on the current pixel optical link architecture. The electrical signals between the…
Optical Link of the Atlas Pixel Detector
K. K. Gan
The on-detector optical link of the ATLAS pixel detector contains radiation-hard receiver chips to decode bi-phase marked signals received on PIN arrays and data transmitter chips…
