A multi-channel silicon package for large-scale skipper-CCD experiments
A. M. Botti, C. Chavez, M. Sofo-Haro +10
The next generation of experiments for rare-event searches based on skipper Charge Coupled Devices (skipper-CCDs) presents new challenges for the sensor packaging and readout. Scal…
Astronomical Spectroscopy with Skipper CCDs: First Results from a Skipper CCD Focal Plane Prototype at SIFS
Edgar Marrufo Villalpando, Alex Drlica-Wagner, Brandon Roach +22
We present the first on-sky results from an ultra-low-readout-noise Skipper CCD focal plane prototype for the SOAR Integral Field Spectrograph (SIFS). The Skipper CCD focal plane c…
Characterization and Optimization of Skipper CCDs for the SOAR Integral Field Spectrograph
Edgar Marrufo Villalpando, Alex Drlica-Wagner, Andrés A. Plazas Malagón +14
We present results from the characterization and optimization of six Skipper CCDs for use in a prototype focal plane for the SOAR Integral Field Spectrograph (SIFS). We tested eigh…
The Dark Energy Camera
B. Flaugher, H. T. Diehl, K. Honscheid +115
The Dark Energy Camera is a new imager with a 2.2-degree diameter field of view mounted at the prime focus of the Victor M. Blanco 4-meter telescope on Cerro Tololo near La Serena,…
