Comparative Direct Analysis of Type Ia Supernova Spectra. IV. Postmaximum
David Branch, David J. Jeffery, Jerod Parrent +6
A comparative study of optical spectra of Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) obtained near 1 week, 3 weeks, and 3 months after maximum light is presented. Most members of the four groups…
Comparative Direct Analysis of Type Ia Supernova Spectra. III. Premaximum
David Branch, M. A. Troxel, David J. Jeffery +8
A comparative study of spectra of 21 Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) obtained about one week before maximum light, and 8 spectra obtained 11 or more days before maximum, is presented.…
Comparative Direct Analysis of Type Ia Supernova Spectra. II. Maximum Light
David Branch, Leeann Chau Dang, Nicholas Hall +7
A comparative study of near-maximum-light optical spectra of 24 Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) is presented. The spectra are quantified in two ways, and assigned to four groups. Seven…
Comparative Direct Analysis of Spectra of Type Ia Supernovae. I. SN 1994D
David Branch, E. Baron, Nicholas Hall +2
As the first step in a comprehensive, comparative, direct analysis of the spectra of Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia), we use the parameterized supernova synthetic-spectrum code, SYNOW,…
