Solar supergranulation revealed by granule tracking
Michel Rieutord, Nadege Meunier, Thierry Roudier +3
Context: Supergranulation is a pattern of the velocity field at the surface of the Sun, which has been known about for more than fifty years, however, no satisfactory explanation o…
Large-scale horizontal flows in the solar photosphere III: Effects on filament destabilization
Th. Roudier, M. Svanda, N. Meunier +7
We study the influence of large-scale photospheric motions on the estabilization of an eruptive filament, observed on October 6, 7, and 8, 2004, as part of an international observi…
Tracking granules at the Sun's surface and reconstructing velocity fields. II. Error analysis
R. Tkaczuk, M. Rieutord, N. Meunier +1
The determination of horizontal velocity fields at the solar surface is crucial to understanding the dynamics and magnetism of the convection zone of the sun. These measurements ca…
The magnetism of the solar interior for a complete MHD solar vision
S. Turck-Chieze, T. Appourchaux, J. Ballot +37
The solar magnetism is no more considered as a purely superficial phenomenon. The SoHO community has shown that the length of the solar cycle depends on the transition region betwe…
