Model-Guided Design of Nanoparticle Dispersity through Process-Chain Optimization
Andrea Gilch, Nabi E. Traoré, Frauke Liers +1
The design of high-quality nanoparticles requires the production of materials with narrow particle size distributions, as these strongly influence the functionalities of the final…
A stochastic method of moving asymptotes for topology optimization under uncertainty
Lukas Pflug, Michael Stingl, Andrian Uihlein
Topology optimization under uncertainty or reliability-based topology optimization is usually numerically very expensive. This is mainly due to the fact that an accurate evaluation…
A nonlocal approach to graded surface modeling in topology optimization
Sukhminder Singh, Lukas Pflug, Fabian Wein +1
Additively manufactured structures often exhibit a correlation between their mechanical properties, such as stiffness, strength, and porosity, and their wall thickness. This correl…
Topology Optimization of Broadband Acoustic Transition Section: A Comparison between Deterministic and Stochastic Approaches
Abbas Mousavi, Andrian Uihlein, Lukas Pflug +1
This paper focuses on the topology optimization of a broadband acoustic transition section that connects two cylindrical waveguides with different radii. The primary objective is t…
