Water vapour masers in long-period variable stars III. Mira variables U Her and RR Aql
A. Winnberg, J. Brand, D. Engels
Within the 'Medicina/Effelsberg H2O maser monitoring program' we observed U Her and RR Aql at 22-GHz for about two decades between 1990 and 2011, with a gap between 1997 and 2000 i…
Patterns in water maser emission of evolved stars on the timescale of decades
Jan Brand, Dieter Engels, Anders Winnberg
We present our past and current long-term monitoring program of water masers in the circumstellar envelopes of evolved stars, augmented by occasional interferometric observations.…
Water vapour masers in long-period variable stars II. The semi-regular variables R Crt and RT Vir
J. Brand, D. Engels, A. Winnberg
Within the 'Medicina/Effelsberg H2O maser monitoring program' we have observed the maser emission of R Crt and RT Vir for more than two decades. To get insight in the distribution…
CO in OH/IR stars close to the Galactic centre
A. Winnberg, S. Deguchi, M. J. Reid +3
Aims: A pilot project has been carried out to measure circumstellar CO emission from three OH/IR stars close to the Galactic centre. The intention was to find out whether it would…
