Probing entanglement scaling across a quantum phase transition on a quantum computer
Qiang Miao, Tianyi Wang, Kenneth R. Brown +2
The investigation of strongly-correlated quantum matter is difficult due to the curse of dimensionality and intricate entanglement structures. These challenges are particularly pro…
Error correction of transversal CNOT gates for scalable surface code computation
Kaavya Sahay, Yingjia Lin, Shilin Huang +2
Recent experimental advances have made it possible to implement logical multi-qubit transversal gates on surface codes in a multitude of platforms. A transversal controlled-NOT (tC…
Comparing Shor and Steane Error Correction Using the Bacon-Shor Code
Shilin Huang, Kenneth R. Brown, Marko Cetina
Quantum states can quickly decohere through interaction with the environment. Quantum error correction is a method for preserving coherence through active feedback. Quantum error c…
Single-shot error correction on toric codes with high-weight stabilizers
Yingjia Lin, Shilin Huang, Kenneth R. Brown
For quantum error correction codes the required number of measurement rounds typically increases with the code distance when measurements are faulty. Single-shot error correction a…
