Phase Closure Image Reconstruction for Future VLTI Instrumentation
Mercedes E. Filho, Stephanie Renard, Paulo Garcia +21
Classically, optical and near-infrared interferometry have relied on closure phase techniques to produce images. Such techniques allow us to achieve modest dynamic ranges. In order…
Phase Referencing in Optical Interferometry
Mercedes E. Filho, Paulo Garcia, Gilles Duvert +20
One of the aims of next generation optical interferometric instrumentation is to be able to make use of information contained in the visibility phase to construct high dynamic rang…
Imaging reconstruction for infrared interferometry: first images of YSOs environment
S. Renard, F. Malbet, E. Thiebaut +1
The study of protoplanetary disks, where the planets are believed to form, will certainly allow the formation of our Solar System to be understood. To conduct observations of these…
DARWIN - A Mission to Detect, and Search for Life on, Extrasolar Planets
C. S. Cockell, A. Leger, M. Fridlund +47
The discovery of extra-solar planets is one of the greatest achievements of modern astronomy. The detection of planets with a wide range of masses demonstrates that extra-solar pla…
