POLAR Investigation of the Sun - POLARIS
T. Appourchaux, P. Liewer, M. Watt +34
The POLAR Investigation of the Sun (POLARIS) mission uses a combination of a gravity assist and solar sail propulsion to place a spacecraft in a 0.48 AU circular orbit around the S…
Development of a new analysis technique to measure low radial-order p modes in spatially-resolved helioseismic data
David Salabert, John W. Leibacher, Thierry Appourchaux
In order to take full advantage of the long time series collected by the GONG and MDI helioseismic projects, we present here an adaptation of the rotation-corrected -averaged sp…
Searching for p-modes in MOST Procyon data: Another view
F. Baudin, T. Appourchaux, P. Boumier +3
Photometry of Procyon obtained by the MOST satellite in 2004 has been searched for p modes by several groups, with sometimes contradictory interpretations. We explore two possible…
solarFLAG hare and hounds: on the extraction of rotational p-mode splittings from seismic, Sun-as-a-star data
W. J. Chaplin, T. Appourchaux, F. Baudin +18
We report on results from the first solar Fitting at Low-Angular degree Group (solar FLAG) hare-and-hounds exercise. The group is concerned with the development of methods for extr…
