Discovery of a supercluster in the ZOA in Vela
Renée C. Kraan-Korteweg, Michelle E. Cluver, Maciej Bilicki +5
We report the discovery of a potentially major supercluster that extends across the Galactic Plane in the constellation of Vela, at a mean recessional velocity of ~18,000 km/s. Rec…
The Cosmic Large-Scale Structure in X-rays (CLASSIX) Cluster Survey I: Probing galaxy cluster magnetic fields with line of sight rotation measures
Hans Boehringer, Gayoung Chon, Philipp P. Kronberg
To search for a signature of an intracluster magnetic field, we compare measurements of Faraday rotation of polarised extragalactic radio sources in the line of sight of galaxy clu…
Constraints on neutrino masses from the study of the nearby large-scale structure and galaxy cluster counts
Hans Boehringer, Gayoung Chon
The high precision measurements of the cosmic microwave background by the Planck survey yielded tight constraints on cosmological parameters and the statistics of the density fluct…
The effect of AGN feedback on the X-ray morphologies of clusters -- simulations vs. observations
Gayoung Chon, Ewald Puchwein, Hans Boehringer
We study the effect of Active Nuclei Galaxy (AGN) feedback as one of the major mechanisms modifying the cluster morphology influencing scaling relations, which are the most uncerta…
