The origin of hydrogen line emission for five Herbig Ae/Be stars spatially resolved by VLTI/AMBER spectro-interferometry
S. Kraus, K. -H. Hofmann, M. Benisty +14
To trace the accretion and outflow processes around YSOs, diagnostic spectral lines such as the BrG 2.166 micron line are widely used, although due to a lack of spatial resolution,…
AMBER closure and differential phases: accuracy and calibration with a Beam Commutation
Florentin Millour, Romain Petrov, Martin Vannier +1
The first astrophysical results of the VLTI focal instrument AMBER have shown the importance of the differential and closure phase measures, which are supposed to be much less sens…
First VLTI infrared spectro-interferometry on GCIRS 7 - Characterizing the prime reference source for Galactic center observations at highest angular resolution
J. -U. Pott, A. Eckart, A. Glindemann +5
Investigating the environment of the massive black hole SgrA* at the center of the Galaxy requires the highest angular resolution available to avoid source confusion and to study t…
Resolving the inner active accretion disk around the Herbig Be star MWC 147 with VLTI/MIDI+AMBER spectro-interferometry
Stefan Kraus, Thomas Preibisch, Keiichi Ohnaka
We studied the geometry of the inner (AU-scale) circumstellar environment around the Herbig Be star MWC 147. Combining, for the first time, near- (NIR, K band) and mid-infrared (MI…
