Optical polarization of stellar-fed active and quiescent supermassive black holes
N. Jordana-Mitjans, A. Franckowiak, E. Ramírez-Ruiz +4
Using the MOPTOP polarimeter on the 2-meter Liverpool Telescope, we conducted a monitoring campaign targeting three optically-discovered TDEs (AT2024bgz, AT2024pvu, and AT2024wsd)…
Modelling the prompt optical emission of GRB 180325A: the evolution of a spike from the optical to gamma-rays
Rosa L. Becerra, Fabio De Colle, Jorge Cantó +20
The transition from prompt to the afterglow emission is one of the most exciting and least understood phases in gamma-ray bursts (GRBs). Correlations among optical, X-ray and gamma…
A multi-wavelength analysis of a collection of short-duration GRBs observed between 2012-2015
S. B. Pandey, Y. Hu, A. J. Castro-Tirado +71
We investigate the prompt emission and the afterglow properties of short duration gamma-ray burst (sGRB) 130603B and another eight sGRB events during 2012-2015, observed by several…
The Synoptic All-Sky Infrared (SASIR) Survey
Joshua S. Bloom, J. Xavier Prochaska, William Lee +42
We are proposing to conduct a multicolor, synoptic infrared (IR) imaging survey of the Northern sky with a new, dedicated 6.5-meter telescope at San Pedro Mártir (SPM) Observatory.…
